I’ve been sitting here struggling to find the words to express the privilege it is to document the first weeks of a new life, but nothing I say can do it justice. So i’ll let beautiful baby Erin do the talking.
I’ve been editing like a demon lately, so it was a breath of fresh air in every sense of the word to go outside and spend some time with my cheeky monkey. She’s so much fun!
I’ve struggled to choose my favourites from this lavender fields shoot. Such sweet adorable sisters, I had so much fun, my aim with each shoot is for it to be a fun and relaxed experience so when I get a message like this it feels so good….
“We had such a lovely time yesterday. The girls even thanked me for taking them for the shoot! They really loved you and enjoyed it.”
The feeling is mutual.
We took advantage of a beautiful clear cloudless evening to capture some golden images. I’m often asked what is the best time for a photo shoot and the simple answer is in the evening when the sun is low in the sky leading up to 15 minutes before the sun sets when the light turns a golden red before dropping below the horizon. It’s not typically the best time for family life when you would usually be finishing dinner and winding down for the evening. However for that one occasion for some stunning art work to display on your wall, to be treasured by you and future generations, surely it’s worth it?
I think so.
Last week’s wedding was a gorgeous feast for the eyes.Crossing over the bridge past two nesting swans and this adorable boat, you knew you were entering something special.
This caravan was a dilapidated purchase from eBay and lovingly restored to create a fun vintage caravan Photo Booth. The original indoor bench made the perfect backdrop for guests to sit with the camera opposite. Bunches of wild flowers in jars and vintage jugs were laid throughout, with bundles of hay for seating and a fire pit for the huddling around together in the evening.
Thoughtful details like vintage type writers and books sat amongst wild flowers and herbs were thoughtful touches that really set the tone. Adults and children alike were entertained all night in the dodgems. The air was filled with squeals of delight and laughter.
Not even a short down pour could dampen the spirit!
